Playful Polka Dots Sneak Peek

Good morning! Today I want to share with you a couple of scrapbook pages I created using the new Playful Polka Dots simply scrappin' kit from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini catalog. I absolutely love the simply scrappin' kits, they make scrapbooking a breeze! The kits come with textured cardstock, designer series paper and cardstock stickers, usually border stickers as well as element stickers. Of course they are great for card making or 3-D projects too! This particular kit is so bright and cheery, perfect for scrappin' photos of my bright and cheery daughter Hannah!

The page on the left was CASE'd from the new Summer Mini catalog, the page on the right I created to make this a double page layout. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Mini Sneak Peek!

Hi there! I have been busy this week making samples for my June Stamp-A-Stack class. I wanted to use my new favorite stamp set, On the Grow, because the images just beg to be colored and I love to color. I can't remember a time that I didn't love coloring. When I was a kid I always looked forward to shopping for summertime art supplies. My mom would take my sisters and I to buy us new color books and crayons. Isn't there something magical about a brand spankin' new box of crayons? I think so! In this class we will get to play with a variety of coloring tools and media such as blender pens, aqua painters, watercolor crayons, and ink pads (to do this with Stampin' Up! ink pads you press on the stamp pad before opening it which creates a small pool of ink in the lid which you can then pick up with a blender pen or aqua painter.)

For this next card I used the new stamp set Strength & Hope, another new one from the Summer Mini catalog available May 1st. For each Strength & Hope stamp set sold, Stampin' Up! will donate $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation! Way to go SU!

I am nearly finished with my scrapbook pages class samples, I'll be back to share those with you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by today!

My Dear Kind & Wonderful Friend

Hi there! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! We got back in from Chicago last night (or I should say this morning) at one so I decided to let the kids sleep in and skip school... They probably think I am such a nice mom for letting them do this. Little do they know I didn't want to get out of bed either!

So I woke up this morning to the new Mojo Monday sketch in my email and went right to work on my card.
I was looking through my dsp to decide which paper to use and I came across this paper called Greenhouse Gala. It was the sneak peek paper from the current catalog, which means it was available for a limited time prior to the new catalog coming out, proabably last year in April. Of course everyone gets excited about something new so they all buy it and the internet is flooded with projects using the new paper. I usually get tired of it very quickly and kind of forget about it for awhile. Well today I decided I would pull it out, dust it off and give it a go.
I have used one of my favorite sentiments. It says, "My dear kind and wonderful friend" and is from the "All Holidays" stamp set. Also, a very cool new punch available May 1st! It is a three layer punch, I used it to create the border. It is three coordinating shapes in one punch. Super fun! Now I just have to decide which of my dear friends to send this to!

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter!!

Good morning! Just a quick card to share with you today. A sweet little Easter card I made this week. I haven't used this stamp set for a loooong time and I forgot how cute it is. It is called "A Good Egg," the sentiment says, "you crack me up." Too cute!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter weekend. I will be back tomorrow for Mojo Monday.
Thanks for stopping by!

Seriously!?! Snowing Again....

Good morning... so this morning I woke up to this lovely view... I put the patio furniture out last week since it was an unusually warm day here in Michigan... 87 degrees... I thought I would sit outside and do some reading in the sunshine. That, I might add, was heavenly... this mess we have today... sheeesh I don't even have words! We are supposed to get between two and four inches!

My husband and I are taking Justin and Hannah, our two teenagers, to Chicago Friday morning for the weekend. We have made arrangements to take a segway tour of the city and to visit the human body exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. I am so looking forward to this trip! It has been a long hard winter and I am hoping for better weather in the windy city this weekend!

So... Mojo Monday again already! The weeks are just flying by! Justin will be graduating from high school in less than seven weeks! Holy smokes how time flies! Ok, on to my card I made for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. I must say I L♥O♥V♥E this sketch, the new Basic Grey Luscious paper and this new stamp set from Stampin' Up! called "On the Grow." It will be available in the new Summer Mini Catalog starting on May 1st! I stamped the image on watercolor paper with stazon ink and colored it in with my watercolor wonder crayons and a blender pen. I love how soft this effect is, and not as messy as using an aqua painter.

Well, that is it for now. I have to finish my Easter cards and get them in the mail today and then off to Scrapbook Leagues I go this afternoon. Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by.

Wish Big!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was uneventful... went to dinner Friday night with my hubby, taught a class Saturday morning, cleaned on Sunday until the house started to get warm... it was a remarkable 87 degrees here! So I sat in the sun and read my nook. I just started Water for Elephants. I wasn't sure what I was going to think of it but it sucked me right in!

Today's card was created using the Mojo Monday Sketch. I thought it was going to be a breeze but actually it took quite some time... and many attempts! I am relatively happy with the final product. It was going to be a thinking of you card for a friend but it has ended up as yet another birthday card... go figure!

Have a great week, I hope to be back soon! Thanks for stopping by today.

Thinking of You on Mojo Monday

Good morning! I had to rush through my card this morning. I am heading out to do some shopping with my mom, my sister, my daughter and her friend. The kids are on spring break this week and we are getting it started right! It might still be freezing here in Michigan but we are going to buy some spring/summer clothes and just pretend it is warm outside!

The card I made for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch uses Woodland Walk designer series paper from Stampin' Up! I love all the browns and greens! Ok, better post... got shopping to do!

Have a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by!
