Love this die!

Hi there, welcome back and thanks for stopping by today. I want to share with you a card I made recently using some of the awesome things I bought at Mega Meet a few weeks back as well as my new favorite Stampin' Up! sizzix die.

See that awesome early espresso wide ric rac piece and the luscious cork scalloped border piece... those are both made with the Tasteful Trim sizzix die, made exclusively for Stampin' Up! If you just gotta have one for yourself email me and I can get one to you stat! :) Stampin' Up! sells the cork sheets as well... a great way to add some texture to your projects. I colored this sweet girl with my copic markers, paper pieced her dress then added some dazzling diamonds glitter to her hat and the frosting on her cake with a two way glue pen... it is so sparkly!

Well thanks again for stopping by, have a great day!

Happy Memorial Day!!

Hi there, I hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day. I bet most of you have the day off  and I hope you are making the most of it! It is shaping up to be a beautiful day here in Howell, Michigan and I am hoping to get out and enjoy the sunshine in just a bit.... but first I want to share with you my Mojo Monday  entry.

I love square cards, I think I have said that before... but it is true, I really do. It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted for my focal image, I have decided I want more stamp sets that I can color or paper piece with, so that is what I will be looking for first in the new catalog which is coming really soon! Can't wait!! Anyways, since I wasn't finding a stamp I wanted to use I decided to go to one of my favorite Stampin' Up! exclusive sizzix dies, Beautiful Butterflies. I love this die, I really hope it carries over to the new catalog.

Ok, without further adieu... the sunshine is calling to me!

The colors I used are wild wasabi, early espresso, and crumb cake. The dsp is Woodland Walk and the ribbon is 5/8" satin early espresso. Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Hannah!

Good morning! I am back after taking a week off from my Monday posts. I have been so busy helping my son with his senior scrapbook project. It was due today so we had been working quite diligently to get it finished in time.

Today is my daughters birthday! She is 14, I can hardly believe it! Friday we went clothes shopping, she is so into that now. I remember two years ago I was going to the mall with my mom and my sisters and asked her if she wanted to go and she had no desire to go shopping and didn't mind one bit if I picked out all of her clothes... how things have changed in two short years! We had a great time and she has great taste so it was easy peasy shopping! Saturday we took her and a couple of her friends out to the IMAX theater to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie in 3D... followed by dinner at Stillwater Grill, one of our favorite places to eat. Yesterday we had my family over to celebrate her birthday with us. It was an beautiful day and we all had a lot of fun. So here are a couple of pictures from yesterday...

It was a super fun day, I love spending time with my family!
Ok, on to the card I made for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. I created this card for Justin to give to Hannah today. I used the Celebrations dsp and a stamp from the new stamp set pretty postage. I love that the image was small enough to fit into my 1 1/4" circle punch!

The colors I used are pacific point, real red, and pear pizzazz. The scallop borders were created using the Tasteful Trim sizzix die (it might be my new favorite, I can't wait to try to jumbo ric rac!) I think that is it,
thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Straight From the Nest

Hi there! Today I want to share with you a couple of cards that I will be doing with my Cricut class on Saturday. We are using the Straight From the Nest cartridge again this month. My Cricut class meets on the second Saturday of the month. I pick a cartridge, everyone purchases it and then I create projects for the class to do with the cartridge for the next three months, then I pick a new cartridge. I have really been enjoying this class. I have learned a lot about my cricut in teaching it to others!

If you are in my area and would like to take this class with us sometime, send me an email! Kits are also available by mail. Kits include all of the materials you will need to create the projects as well as step by step instructions for you to cut and build the pieces on your cricut!

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Crazy busy Monday!

Good morning, I just have a quick post for you this morning as I am crazy busy! I taught a class on Friday morning and then I kind of just slacked off for the rest of the weekend.... it being Mother's Day and all. It was absolutely gorgeous Saturday and Sunday so I was able to get some work done in the yard and also bought some flowers for the patio to make it all spiffy as we were hosting my family for Mother's Day.

 Me with my wonderful mother.
My mother, such a beautiful woman!
My sisters Sonya and Jenny with me and my mother.
My amazing grandma, she is 97! My mom and my aunt Nancy.

It was a wonderful day with yummy food, great conversation, and lots of sunshine. I love my family so much and am so thankful for each and every one of them!

Ok, on to Mojo Monday... a nice clean card today... so quick and easy!

Well I better get back to my crazy busy day! I am working on Make & Takes for both of my stamp clubs that are meeting tomorrow, one in the morning and one in the evening, as well as hostess gifts for both of my hostesses. If I have time I will come back and share with you those things as well.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a great week!

A Touch of Kindness...

Good Monday morning! What a beautiful weekend we had... well yesterday especially. I sat out on the patio with my Nook and read for hours! I have just started a book called The Hunger Games and I couldn't put it down. I think I have nearly finished it already. It is hard to tell when you read on a Nook as there are no pages to turn, but it feels like the ending is near. I am so happy it is the first in a series of three books so I won't feel so bad about racing through to the end!

On to Mojo Monday! Today I used mostly new things from the Summer Mini which is now available to order from! Feel free to browse the catalog and you can also order from me directly through the link at the end of this post. Lots of great new products in the mini! It is also National Scrapbooking Month and Stampin' Up! is celebrating with a 30% off sale on certain items (digital items too!) That is a tremendous deal!

Oh!! I was going show you my card wasn't I? Well without further adieu...

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful week!
