Two days of sunshine in a row... woohoo!!!

We have had two days of beautiful sunshine here in dreary ole Michigan and it is supposed to shine on tomorrow as well!!! Although it is only 32 degrees outside I feel like it is finally spring. The card I made today was inspired by the sketch from the Mojo Monday blog. I love square cards, it feels like a great big canvas for me to create on for some reason. Since the sketch allowed for a large image I pulled out a pile of images I have colored either with copics or colored pencils and gamsol. This particular one is colored with the latter. Sometimes when I am in the mood to color I will sit in front of the TV with my copics and do a bunch of images in one sitting. I am far more inclined to do it that way than to color just one for any given project.

So today I used paper by Bo Bunny from the Peacock Lane line because it matched my image I wanted to use and also because it feels springy to me :) I can not remember which company I bought the stamp from, if it looks familiar to you let me know because I really like it a lot and would be interested in more like it!

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great week!

Birds of a Feather

Happy Wednesday! It is a really nasty, rainy, gloomy Wednesday here in Howell, Michigan... blah! I can NOT wait for spring... can I get an Amen!?! Enough about the weather, I have some fun new cards to share with you.... and it's not even Monday! Wooohoo!! A mid-week post!! The cards I have created are for my May stamp-a-stack. Every month I create a set of three coordinating cards and teach them in a class, usually twice during the month. Participants make two each of the three cards, it is always a lot of fun. I pre-cut every thing so the ladies can just sit and chat and do a little stamping and "build" their cards. If you are in the area you should join us some time. I also sell them as pre-cut, stamped and punched kits and would be happy to mail you a set! The class is $15 and the kits are $18. Email me if it is something you are interested in! Ok, on to the cards, I used the Aviary and Curly Cute stamp sets by Stampin' Up! Two sets I have had for awhile and completely forgot about! So I dusted them off, mounted them up and got busy. Here are the results...

I absolutely L♥O♥V♥E the last one! Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a wonderful week!

Easter Wishes

Good afternoon... Monday again already. I swear I always have good intentions of getting back here and posting mid-week but I never seem to get around to it. Today I made a card using the Mojo Monday sketch (no big surprise there huh?!?) I wanted to make an Easter card using the Easter Blossoms stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog. This was one of the first things I bought when the mini came out and I had not used it yet so I wanted to try it out. I stamped the little girl in Always Artichoke ink and then I stamped her on my "Canvas" textured background stamp before stamping her on Very Vanilla card stock. It turned out quite nicely if I do say so myself! Well, I am off to pack my bag for scrapbook leagues tonight. I have missed the last two sessions so I am really excited to get to go tonight. You all have a great week!

Birthday Mojo

Good morning, today I have made a birthday card for a dear friend of mine. I think the thing that I love most about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is the relationships that have come from it. I have met so many wonderful women and made so many friends, and I cherish them all! So today I have made this birthday card for one of those wonderful women and used todays Mojo Monday sketch... two birds, one stone!
Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day!

Lemonade... It's a Sweet Treat right!?!

Hi there... I missed you Monday! I really tried to get into the Mojo Monday sketch this week but after two failed attempts I just threw in the towel and started working on other things... like a couple of projects for my cricut class on Saturday. It will be our last time using the "Sweet Treats" cartridge so to send it off I wanted to create some fun projects for the girls to do. I also wanted to use some sweet paper so I dug into my Basic Grey stash and went straight for the Lemonade... a real "sweet treat" and one of my all time favorite lines. So far I have created a card and a tag and I am excited about both! Of course the pictures will not do them justice but one of the things I really love about the card is the stitching on the burgundy paper. I used my clear star gelly roll pen and it is kind of shimmery... very pretty!

The tag is also very sweet. It has a lot of dimension and a lovely organza ribbon.

Well that's it for now... oh wait! There was something else I wanted to share with you... look what I saw eating out of my bird feeder this weekend!

Here are some of his friends...

Busted...

It has been awhile since we have seen deer in the backyard. I was very happy to see them again! Looks like I need to fill my bird feeders :) Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by.
